Our Story
Newly set up in 2023, Green Lane Equestrian has been a lifelong dream of owner Laura Hill, to set up a high quality equestrian training facility in the heart of Leicestershire.
Green Lane Equestrian boasts top class facilities for horse and rider, including a state-of-the-art Sportrack surface, 60x20m indoor arena.
The centrally located venue offers clinics from a range of coaches including Laura herself, as well as facilities hire. Ample parking is available on-site.
About Laura
Horses have been a lifelong passion for Laura Hill from an early age.
From being involved in her mother's livery yard in the Vale of Belvoir, through success as a young rider with the Belvoir Pony Club, and to top-level success as an international event rider, Laura's dedication and passion have led her to create her dream facility.
Laura competed 5 times at the National Pony Club Championships, going to win the Open Horse Trials. She then pursued Eventing successfully to 4* level in her early 20s with home produced horses.
After transitioning to Dressage, she now competes at Advanced Medium, having competed at the Regionals, the Nationals and Petplan Championships, including winning the Petplan Elementary Championships. She has developed her two top horses through the levels from three-year-olds up to Advanced and trains with World Championship Gold Medallist Gareth Hughes, and Grand Prix rider Nikki Barker.
Laura has had many special horses over the year's. Pictured above is Jobarde E owned by Janice Robson, winning the 4yo young dressage horse class. And right is Euphoria, owned by the Robson family , competing at Blair Castle, where she won 'Best Mare'. She is now retired and bred 3 beautiful foals.
Laura has a calm, focused and confidence building approach, both in her coaching and horse training.
Training with Laura
Laura is passionate about coaching, and loves helping horses and riders at any level to improve. She holds her UKCC Level 2, has full first aid, DBS and insurance. She is also head coach for the Fernie Pony Club.
